Class was very interesting today. Students started off with reviewing sequences and patterns. Then the they used Microsoft Excel® to type out the formulas for the sequences. Bethany gave the class some patterns to figure out using Excel. Some of the students said it was easier to find the pattern using Excel because they just had to plug in what they thought was the formula and see if it worked. The students had a lot of fun with this activity. After break they learned about fractals using Canter's Comb on the Shodor Interactivate web site. The students learned what fractals were and the fact that they are never ending. The class ended with the students working on the Interactivate activities.Last Update: |
