Candid Student Reports

The following reports were written by members of Math Explorations, Session C during the first day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

This class was really fun. Emily thinks that they could explain things a little more. Nathalie thinks that the instructors did a really great job. First, we played a tag game outside and then graphed the results. Then we tried to do some impossible problems. That was fun. We hope that we have as good a time tommorrow.

Today was really fun. We learned about patterns and sequences, which was hard if you don't know spanish. The staff is really helpful in learning stuff.


David

The Shodor staff is very helpful in teaching us things we didn't know or that we maybe have forgotten. They also are kind enough to help us one-on-one if we don't get something or get behind. Overall it was a good first day.

We learn about grids, patterns, and time tables. What was fun was we go to play a game called Rabbits VS. Wolves. And we enjoyed it!
