Candid Student Reports

The following reports were written by members of Math Explorations,
Session A during the first day of the program. Some elements may
have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in
the student's own words.

I liked a lot of the problems and some were very good.

I had a lot of fun though I was mad that I could not win $20.00 or $21.00!!!!!!!

Today we learned about patterns and nodes. I had never learned about nodes so it was a new experience. The two problems about the housing placement and the bridges were quite hard. I soon realized it was impossible. But the counselors wanted to know why it was impossible.

I think that the math class is fun.

We learned different methods about how to solve many problems and activities and we would like to do more.

I thought we didn't do a lot today because we had to get to know each other. But I did have fun when we played the games outside and inside.
