Today's class began by Garrett giving the students an introduction to velocity and acceleration. The students were each given one ball to drop and study how it falls, each ball varied in size and shape, so the students also had to take into consideration that each one off their calculations would be different. Next the students went upstairs where they learned about and studied two types of energy, kenetic and potential. By using geometry and what they learned about the two energies they tested Hot Wheels® cars outside on the steps to try to predict where they would land, it was a model of how stunt devils prepare for their stunts to make sure that they don't get hurt. When the students went back inside they ran another test similiar to what they did outside. Finally the students came downstairs and graphed their data. Last Update: |
