Candid Student Reports The following reports were written by members of Modeling Your World during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words. Ben Today we did a really fun model on pretadors and prey. We were trying to get the wolves and the bunnies to coexist. Kai Today we did a computer model where we had wolves and bunnies and we had to make them both last as long as possible. it was really fun. Bianca Today we did this pederator and a pray thing where we ran a program and to see what would happen, today was fun. Avery Today we used Vensim to make a model of how people go sick, and either recovered or died. We had a hard time figuring out how to make the people who got sick die, along with the people who died of old age. After snack we tried to make a simulation for bunnies. We tried to make the bunnies and the wolves live longer by increasing how fast the grass grew. When the grass grew faster the animails died out faster. Kyle Today we had a lot of fun working with predator-prey relationships and making a model of the spread of a virus. We tried to get the predator and prey to coexist and it was a lot of fun. Elvis today we learened about how to use our data about predetor and prey. we seen how to make the wolves eat the bunny'. we got different results. Kennia Today was the best day every. The day wasc very good and we had fun. We did and studied about byunnies and wolves. On vensim Ple like yesterday we had so much fun. Very cool that's why I like this camp. We all like this camp it is so cool. Robert I learn alot today about predator and prey. Today was also a good day. Victoria Today at Shodor we had a great time. First we tried to decode de code. The top one was not so difficult but the next we had to skip. After that I used Vensim to create a simulation for Predator Pray. What F-U-N! |
