Today class began with Jon doing a proof. Jon was trying to prove that 4 was equal to 5. The students showed Jon that he could not prove that they were equal because he would have to divide by zero. After the students proved him wrong the class began to study pi using a dart board model. The students wanted an easier way to study pi so using microsoft excel to generate numbers for pi, and the probability for the person throwing the dart.

The students then began to come up with math related questions to ask Jon. Jon also would ask the students challenge questions that they could attempt to use. After Jon finished giving his presentation, Robbye began to talk to the students about M&M's. The students collected data about the colors of M&M's. They each made a pie graph of the colors of their bags. M&M has a pie graph of what should be in each bag. The data did not quite match so they put the whole classes data together. The class then concluded that the larger the sample used the more accurate the data and results became.
