I learned the basics in Java Script like a text box and hello world program. I learned how to program basic functions in JavaScript including a few functions. I made a mathematical conversion program. I am proud I was able to complete a program in JavaScript that allowed for a user to input a value that would be in inches but then converted to centimeters. Working and finishing my website. I am hoping to learn the specifics of how to incorporate JavaScript into the websites we created. Anja helped program my work in Java Script. Anja and Aaron helped me recognize errors in my JavaScript code that did not allow for my program to function correctly. I helped Hamza link things to his website. I helped Hamza work on his Portfolio page, but specifically the project we collaborated on during the fall semester.

I learned more about doing loops and conditionals in JavaScript. I am proud that I finished my Guess my Number game in JavaScript, and I made a Factorial program. I am hoping to learn more about doing animations in JavaScript, so I can stylize my website a bit. Aaron really helped me work on my JavaScript code to help me make sure they work quite efficiently. I mainly helped Hamza on his work with his loops and conditionals.

I learned more about using functions and objects in JavaScript. I created a simple function program that could add, subtract, multiply, divide multiple number along with exponents too. I am hoping to learn more about making models in JavaScript and using JavaScript animations in my website. Aaron helped me make the function program in JavaScript have the functionality to do multiple things. I helped Hamza with his website in making it more visually appealing and adding pictures.

I learned today about the new project we are yet to complete in the next three weeks about modeling forest fires. I learned how to accurately incorporate and use coordinates. I am hoping to learn specify animations in JavaScript for our project. Albert helped on the project we are working on by helping with the HLD. I helped Albert with our project work in JavaScript.

I looked over the Forest fire JavaScript code.I helped create some of the functions for our code. I am hoping to learn more about how to create more complex JavaScript functions. Albert worked with me on the code. I helped Albert comment the code.

I learned how to create multiple functions in JavaScript to model a forest fire fully. I learned the code and variables functions Albert created, and what roles they play in the code. I am hoping to learn how to incorporate images for modeling in JavaScript. Albert helped me the most in understanding the code for modeling the forest fire. I helped Albert in troubleshooting the issues in out extinguished variable.

Today I learned about the various ways to model a Forest Fire in JavaScript from my peers. I am proud of the finished version of our JavaScript Forest Fire Model and presenting it in a well manner. I heard about doing some Parallel Computing which seems to interest me. Albert helped me in understanding the JavaScript code made for this project. I helped Albert in preperation for presenting our project.

This we week in Shodor we were introduced to the concept of Parallel computing, which we discussed in various activities and demonstrations. I was most proud of learning about how all computers could be connected to one system to do massive computational work. I am hoping to learn more about how exactly Parallel computing is used in the real world. Hamza helped me tremendously by explaining how to do various tasks in the Parallel Computing Notebook. I helped Hamza by explaining to him the Computational activities that we were questioned in the Parallel Computing Notebook.

We learned more about Parallel computers this week along with supercomputers one of them being Bluewaters. We essentially connected all desktops in Shodor to form a mini supercomputer doing parallel computations. I am hoping to learn more about programming GPUs which Aaron briefly talked about an activity we would engage in if we were to become interns. Aaron helped in explaining having the power of multiple computers in parallel versus having the power of one supercomputer. I helped Hamza with answering questions to activities in his Parallel Computing Notebook.
