  • Today in class we learned about what Expectation, Observation, and Reflection meant and how it was defined. We also had activities that we did to learn about the variability in information presented on the internet and how we should use it. The lessons in class today taught me to understand accuracy of data. We also talked about how computers interpret numbers and how algorithms (a set plan a computer uses to complete a goal) work.

  • Today in class we learned about the rules and regulations that we must confide to at work places which includes Shodor. We had a presentation about what things are allowed and what things are strictly not allowed in the work area. I agreed with all of the conditions that were presented as they made sense and can definitely wait till after work is finished. I loved the presentation given by Ron.

  • Today in class we worked a little bit longer on using AgentSheets and were then assigned our group projects. We are supposed to use AgentSheets and Vensim to create a model of the relationship between seals and fish when the populations are affected by radioactive tags. I am assigned AgentSheets and look forward to working with my partner to finish and succeed in the challenge.

13. March 14, 2015

  • Today in class we continued to work on our Java Script projects that we will be presenting to the class next week. We were able to solve all of the specific problems that were required and made our model as realistic as possible. I look forward to presenting next week and receiving reviews on our work.

14. March 21, 2015

  • Today in class we finished any last changes that we needed to make to our simulation of Seals and Fish. I am glad we were successfully able to finish our model and present it to the Shodor class. Phil and Aaron gave us good comments that we could learn from and utilize in the future for different projects.

15. April 11, 2015

  • Today in class we were introduced to the term parallel programming. We learned the basics of the term and went through tutorials on how to use this in situations. We learned some interesting ways to use parallel programming in the real world.

16. April 18, 2015

  • Today in class we reviewed the information we learned last week about parallel programming. We then were given the opportunity to write our own program in an attempt to use parallel programming later on. It was fun trying to use this skill in the pi situation.

17. April 25, 2015

  • Today in class we worked with a PI simulation for parallel programming. We learned how to make the simulation a lot more faster through the use of Parallel programming which calculated Pi a lot faster.

18. July 13, 2015

  • Today in class Joel gave us the task of creating a shopping store project through our knowledge of PHP and mySQL. I look forward to working with my fellow classmates for the next few days and finishing it by Friday. This project allowed us to really understand the topics.

19. July 14,2015

  • Today in class we continued to work on our shopping store projects. I was able to finish making all of my tables and look forward to being able to finish by Friday. It is interesting on how PHP and mySQL work together to create this website.
