Candid Student Reports The following reports were written by members of Math and Science Explorations during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words. Matthew Starks Well today we learned about probability and how do we know if things are true or not. I learned to test things before i believe them, and if I get a different answer than someone else, that doesn't mean either of us are wrong. I basiclly learned that there are different ways of answering questions. Dayyan Borhanian This is the first shodor workshop I have been to and I thought it was really fun. It was making me think about how you can't really know anything at all for sure. Mitchell Metz Today, we went into math again, but we did alot of science with it too. I also accidentally stabbed a pencil into my finger. We used a few probability models to show how much experimental results may vary. There was a one hundred dollar offer, but it never followed through because the only answer that was good, was that there is no answer. Shalom Ham i learned about how many moons uranus had and what radium is that of ahot glass of waterShalom Ham I learned about how many moons Uranus had, and what Radium is. |
