February 10, 2001 Class started today with an introduction to forensics and investigative science. In the morning, the students were enriched by learning about the different subfields of forensic science. Then the class participated in various experiments with observation. Students were asked to test their observation skills by looking at a picture for a short amount of time. They then had to answer specifc questions about objects and people in the picture. After the students took a short break, they worked on STELLA (a scientific modeling program). Their task was to build a model on the decopostion of a human body. Through a fun and challenging process the students completed their models. They learned about the various factors that dertemine the body weight after decomposition.
