Candid Student Reports The following reports were written by members of Math Explorations, Session D during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed/edited for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.
Today we worked with the mandelbrot set. Also we made models of serpinski's TRIANGLE! Today was enjoyable.
Today's workshop was one of the best. We talked about the Mandelbrot Set and saw it create neat patterns on the computer. Exploring on the Mandelbrot program made me realize what computers can do for us. The ideas we worked with helped me grasp the concept of infinite numbers.
Today in Math Explorations the main topics were fractals and formulas. The class also experimented with the Hilbert Curve Generator on the Shodor website. It was very enjoyable.
Today we learned about mandelbrot set. I made some friends today.
I liked the work that we did. We did square footage it was really good. The best part to me was working on the computer. The teachers are very good.
Today we did more work and it was basically about square footage and I thought it was a very good class. For snack we had animal cookies and soda. I had a good time. Why did the boy take the ladder to school? Because he wanted to go to high school.
Today we learned about fractals, including Sierpinski's triangle. I enjoyed this day. Our instructor Bethany's jokes were funnier today, as she told none.
I had a fun time. I learned about Converging and Diverging sequences. I really want to come back. That is it. Peace.
Today we learned about the Mandelbrot Set and fractals. We also did things on Sirpinsky's Triangle and Edge.
Today we did fractals. I liked doing this this more than anything else we have done in this class because I could understand it better. The one thing I liked about this class the most is looking and examining the mandelbrot set. It was very pretty and just went on for ever.
We learned about mandelbrot sets. We learned about prisoners and escapees. It was really fun. I can't wait to come back.
