The following (emails) were written by members of the Math Explorations during the first session of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

Today was fun.  We did fractals


 Leon and Kati

Today we learned about fractals.  I had a lot of
fun and we even learned how to apply it to our 
studies.  I enjoyed today's class.


 Ari

Today was fun. We worked on fractions and proba-
bilities.


 Isa

Today, we did lots of fun and interesting stuff. 
We explored with fractals, chaos theory, and proba-
bility. We also did more with graph theory.
 


 Dan and Andrew

Today we did probability. Then we had break.  
Then we Iterative Functions on Microsoft Excel.  We 
had lots of fun.
 


 Michelle

Today was different we learned about the fractal 
microscope, we also worked we graph theory and I didn't 
figure it out though.

Today, I learned about the packet thing with the 
bridges and links. We also learned about the iterative 
functions, and also the tie dye colors.

We did internet functions and fractal microscope and 
papers and talking and excel! (even though I don't know 
what that stuff is!!!!!!!!)

Today was fun day except for the boring lecture that bob1 
gave us but after a while it got interesting. We did this 
cool stuff with zooming

Today I learned more about probability.  Jon drew a dart-
board and we calculated the probability of a dart hitting 
the inside circle.  I learned more, but I can't remember 
the complicated names of them.
