Candid Student Reports The following (emails) were written by members of the Internet Science Explorations during the second day of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words. I learned that info on the net is not carefuly checked and it means nothing unless u belive it! Jon Today in claass I had fun on the internet. Goodbye. Ryan Today in Internet Sciences we worked on how to tell if the web site you go to for information may not be correct. To prove this we tried to figure out if some special eggs were hard boild or raw. Our teacher played some tricks on us andd used special eggs. Ben and Robert I had a great day. I learned how to tell realistic information from unbelevible information. I also cracked a code. I think today was better. James Whadup? The sky! We had fun and boring day. It was alot better than yesterday. we sent emails to ourselves and other peeps. Peace. Written by the great experts of science! B'ance and Gregory Today I learned that everything on the net is not checked for mistakes and is not a good source of information..... Alden Today we had a good time. We had fun with the eggs and we learned from the eggs that we can not always trust what we think. And we can not trust things on the internet. Ruth and Estelle Today, in our science portion of our camp we reviewed what we learned yesterday and learned about web browsers and how to use the bookmark option on the toolbar. After that this guy came in and told us to guess what kind of eggs we had. He tricked us buy draining the yolk out of an egg and filling it with water. He tried to be funny by blowing feathers and trash. I think he was very corny with that joke. Edren Today we talked about a better way to find things. {BOREING!} THEN WE FOUND OUT WHAT TO BELIEVE AND WHAT NOT TO BELIEVE ON THE INTERNET.THAT WAS FUN. Sarah TODAY WE HAD FUN LEARNIN THAT NOT ALL THE STUFF ON THE INTERNET IS TRUE. Theodore Today I had a great time and I liked the activity where we had the packets sent to each one of us on our Shodor email, and then we figured out the code and put them together. The quote was: "The whole of science is nothing more than the refine process of thinking." - Albert Einstein It was cool!!!! Sophia I had fun today in science. We had a scavenger hunt on the internet. I learned that everything that you see on the internet or on other items is not true. I learned that somethings are neccessary but not sufficient. Also I learned about things that seemed like they were something that they weren't. For an example the egg game. I learned a lot of different tricks you can do. Tekoa Last Update: |
