Candid Student Reports

The following (emails) were written by members of the Internet Science Explorations during the third day of the program. Some elements may have been removed for various reasons, but the text that remains is in the student's own words.

We learned in class about population growth. We even had a great time like every other day. We made houses and gave out instructions on how to make the house. Then we dreesed Kirstin. We actully taught her how to put the clothes on because she was cold. After that we came back into the classroom Stella models. Then we had snack next door. Then came back into the classroom and had a good time.

I thought yesterday was more fun not to say today was bad but we had more hands on activities yesterday.

Greg

Today we learned about what people use the internet for and how the computer gets instructions. We learned that sometimes people use the internet for collaborating. For the directions, we did an activity where we drew a house on one sheet of paper and wrote directions on how to draw the house. Then we traded instructions and tried to draw the house. It was fun.

Sophia and Tekoa

Today in Internet Science Explorations we learned how to use the program called Stella. We also thought that the Stella program was a very useful tool. We also learned about the simulation, rabbits and wolves.

Ryan and Ruth

Today in Internet Science Explorations we worked on giving and following directions. After we did the house drawings and helped Kirstin dress, Bob1 came in and talked about the common science method, (observation, thinking,hypothesis,and conclusions). We liked Bob1's lesson.

Robert and Sarah

I thought we did more hands on activities yesterday. I had more fun then. But today was ok.

We had an interesting time with a population simulater and a DNA modual simulater.

This afternoon in science class, We had Bob1 teach us again. We reviewed the things we did yesterday and then we learned about hypothesis and making correct observations. It was good. I look forward to tommorow's class.

Today was OK. We did this thing about rabbits and wolves and that was pretty cool. We also did a thing on the web about how a disease spreads.
