May 14-15
This workshop took Shodor to the other side of the world to Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. Attendees participated in the Introduction to Computational Thinking designed for in-service and pre-service teachers. They were introduced to effective ways of using modeling technologies and computational thinking to create inquiry-based projects and class activities for middle and high school students.
Attendees participated in hands-on activities in a blended learning environment to explore its impact on teaching and learning. They looked at dynamic models to study their use in math and science classrooms. After the workshop, the teachers who attended were equipped with the tools necessary to implement this approach in their own classrooms.
