On June 30th Shodor again embarked on international travel with a group of pre-service educators, this time to Crete, Greece. Once in Crete trip participants attended The Best Practices in Inquiry-Based Science Education Pathway Summer School organized by the University of Crete Physics department.
Throughout the duration of the summer school participants experienced inquiry strategies both as learners participating in inquiry-based learning and as educators implementing inquiry-based strategies in the classroom. Participants also got the chance to think as researchers, collecting, examining and interpreting data about their practice and their students' learning. By introducing the basics of computational thinking and focusing on inquiry-based learning through hands-on sessions participants explored the best practices of using digital teaching and learning resources in the classroom.
