My name is Rohan Arora, and I am currently an undergraduate freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am majoring in computer science, with biology as a potential second major. Interacting with innovative technologies is my passion, and it is my hope that my studies in computer science will allow me to improve the lives of others through software.
My interests and hobbies are diverse outside of programming. I love playing tennis, skiing, and working out at the gym. I have had enjoyable experiences with several musical instruments, including piano, viola, trumpet, guitar, snare drum, and most recently tabla (a classical Indian percussion instrument). I also enjoy playing video games from time to time.
My strengths include persistence (when faced with a problem), and being a team player (in group settings). Whenever I overcome a challenging problem, whether it is programming related or otherwise, I feel gratified, particularly when my work has helped someone. It is this feeling of accomplishment that motivates me in everything I do, especially coding.
