2010-2011
This year I experienced my first year at Queens University of Charlotte. I became a part of numerous clubs and organizatins and I really thrived in my academics
Over the summer I returned to Shodor and worked on the Museum of Durham History's History Beneath our Feet and helped with some offsite engineering workshops.
I also took time off to do a 7week Pre-medical Academic Enrichment program at the University of Pittsburgh.
2009-2010
In 2010 I was apart of the first graduating class at Wake Early College of Health and Sciences to recieved both my High School diploma and Associates of Arts degree from Wake Technical Community College.
I worked closely with Victoria Crocket on the UNC Chemistry Fundamentals Program website to create/edit images and information.
As the spring and summer progressed, I began teaching both in-office and offsite workshops. Locatins included YE Smith Elementary School, WD Hill Community Center, and New Life. I taught topics on graphics, engineering and bridge building, chemistry concepts, and web design. Take a look at my Resources page to view some lesson plans and overviews I have created.
2008-2009
Throughout the summer of 2008 to 2009 I advanced to Shodor intern. Upon becoming an Intern I began working with graphics and web design. I assisted and helped with graphics workshops within the office and began creating lesson plans to become a student teacher.
I also traveled abroad to France, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy through People to People Student Ambassadors
2007-2008
Throughout 2007 to 2008 I continued as a Shodor apprentice and learned Subversion, Graphics, HLD, and Database/Terminal techniques. I also worked with client Linda Schmalbeck to edit and create NCSSM conference registry page.
I was also a volunteer in WakeMed Hospital radiology department for 6 weeks.
2006-2007
Throughout 2006 to 2007 I was a Shodor apprentice and recieved training in areas of Unix, Mac OS, HTML and CSS, Excel, Agent Sheets, and Vensim.
- This summer I also attended a summer Health Conference and workshop session at Fordham Univeresity in Bronx NY.
