Department of Chemistry
An interactive educational exercise
Session 3:
Applications in Science
Session 3 presents a wide variety of increasingly challenging problems in the sciences, with an emphasis on those found in chemistry. As in the other sessions, students are provided with ample opportunities to make active use of their own calculators and the on-line computational resources provided through the Web.
Sample problems include:
- Stoichiometry
- Concentrations (in solutions)
- pH calculations
- Simple statistics
- Balancing equations (advanced, requires use of matrices)
