The class started by Kirstin talking to the students about molecules and having them to use a program called MacSpartan to model molecules. The students built a water molecule int this program. Next they went outside and ate m&m's while they told what they liked and didn't like about the program. Next the class took their break and filled out their surveys. Lastly the class studied population, estimated percentages of population growths and decreases, and named different thing that could make the populatiion of different countries higher or lower. They surfed the internet for more info on population growth in different countries. Then they built a model using stella to show the rate of growth in the population.
