The fourth day of class began with a couple activities led by Bob Panoff. The students explored how scientist are required to observe things to make discoveries and just because two scientists may make different observations it doesn't mean one of them is wrong. A way this was demonstrated was by pairing students and having them observe a quarter and tell him the number of heads on it. The differences in numbers were because of interpretation, some students counted the "heads" side of the coin as a head while others didn't. The students also did a similar activity wtih a five dollar bill.

Later, the students preformed a search to gather information on the ebola virus. The students found information on the virus and the countries where it is believed to originate from, the students then used this information to model the virus's affect on a population.
