Scaling in nature and in the machine

By J. Russell Manson
The Richard Stockton College, Galloway, New Jersey

This module teaches:

  • Fundamental physical processes governing sand movement in rivers
  • How massive simulations can be achieved using supercomputers

Upon completion of this module students should be able to:

  • Implement a model for simulating these processes using C
  • Visualize these simulations using Paraview

The documents can be downloaded individually, or as a zip archive containing all of the documents:

Module Slides (.pdf) : The module slides in PDF format.

Module Slides (.odp) : The module slides in OpenOffice ODP format.

Module Contents Archive : The contents of this module including the source code files.
