The goal of the SS applet is to show the effects of loading a sample under tension. The applet will demonstate the elasticity of the sample based on data available for different materials. The applet will show the yield point(s), and point of ultimate tension, where the sample fails. The applet will animate the stretching of the sample, and graph the points of strain vs stress on a 2d map. It will also show the yield point(s), based on current loading, and past loading (ie if the piece has already had one yield point resulting in strain hardening). The yield point(s) and point of ultimate stress will also be shown in different colors.
