What did you learn today or this week that you're most excited about?

I learned how to "switch out" or move lines in vi when we were doing drbd and I learned about scp when Neil was explaining it. I knew that their was a way. I learned today during the imaging about the ./configure, make, make install. Trey said basically in a way what you are doing is making a install.

What did you do that you are most proud of?

I did a fresh install on the macbook and have been workin on getting software to work on the fresh image and which programs we need and which ones are not being used. Started reading up on the drbd documentation.

Comments: Way to go with the RTFM. One of the more important skills you can learn in this field is to read the docs. :) -James Williams Zavada

What have you heard about that you are hoping to learn more of?

I am hoping to learn more perl and some scripting. I also am wanting to learn more drbd with using the processes and configuring them. Ipv6 too since everything is being switched here soon it's going to be very useful info.

Comments: I plan on doing some intern/staff shell training sessions soon. I'll keep you posted. -James Williams Zavada

Who (among Shodor staff and your peers) helped you the most? How did they help you?

Today Trey showed me how to do install by using ./configure. Jym bought in a cool perl book for me to study with.
