What did you learn today or this week that you're most excited about?
I learned about some commands in terminal such as apropos, I learned a lot when we all sat down at the freezes where we set up and tested services. I have been reading the man pages on some commands that I am not used to and it has been great learning all the uses for them.

What have you heard about that you are hoping to learn more of?
I am hoping to learn more about shell after seeing what things can be done in and with shell. Jym offered his books for reference which are pretty interesting they have diagrams and the way the books explain the content does not make it dry. I am looking forward to learning the material on shell, commands and cryptography in the classes tomorrow. I heard that centos will be releasing a new version so when I get home I might want to do a install of centos on my drive for learning. I found the class notes at the last meeting we had was very interesting and I learned that they called the Caesars cypher after one of the caesars in rome.

Who (among Shodor staff and your peers) helped you the most? How did they help you?
Jym showed me how to use various commands over the last few days and letting me use this books for reference has been great. Trey was showing me the setup of the apprentice lab as far as wiring.
