Kelley Katzenmeyer is a rising junior at NCSA, the North Carolina School of the Arts. She has a strong interest in science, art, and technology. Last year, Kelley participated in the Shodor SUCCEED Apprenticeship program for middle-high school students excited about science, technology, mathematics, and engineering (STEM). As an apprentice, Kelley gained experience and developed skills in computational modeling, web design and programming. Kelley is currently an intern at Shodor, where she continues to gain expertise in computational modeling and skills such as CSS, XML, and HTML.
Additionally, Kelley works at
Movie Makers
, teaching kids how to write, direct, shoot, and edit their own films. Kelley became interested in filmmaking when she was nine years old, and now, at the age of fifteen, she has attended the NC School of the Arts, started her own production company (
Lemonade Stand Productions
), and directed numerous short films, which have screened at Brightleaf, Fishmongers, and the
Carrboro film festival
, where she won an award for best directing. Over the years she has networked with other filmmakers, and is currently working on her latest film, "
To Be Remembered
".
