Today we got to learn about graphics and how to use different programs. Like gimpshop or inkscape. We also learned about 2 kinds of images, bitmap and vector, and how they can be used to make logos, pictures, or webpages. We also learned a bit about CSS and how we can intergrate graphics with CSS. I really enjoyed this class because I really like designing things. It was a great expierience and I couldn't wait till I could get started on my graphics assignments. I thought it was really cool how you could zoom in all you want in vector images.

I liked learning CSS today because it helped me understand how sites can look so good. I thought that all the styling was done in the HTML but I then learned you can use a stylesheet to do it too! It's like putting all the style info on one page. It's pretty neat. I also learned that you can put the style sheet in the html (in tags) in the html (in the head) or in an external one. I only used the one in the html before and it was really useful learning how to put it in an external sheet. If I knew more CSS I would probably be spending a bunch of time right now styling a page.

Today I learned more about div tags and more about CSS in general. I learned how to use them, Why I should use them and when to use them. They help name each special area so you can customize it in your CSS and I thought that that was really cool. So far I am very happy learning CSS because its really awesome to learn how to make a site. Also I think CSS helps me have more mobility when designing a website than using regular HTML.

This day we were introduced to agent sheets! It was very fascinating because I can imagine with this program, making bunch of programs + models. It seems so fun to do sickness models, predator + prey models, and maybe even games with this! What I really like about this program is that its more hands on, simple, and drag and drop. Also even though its drag and drop its still seems like an extremely powerful program. Its really fun, visual, and a great program all around. Im really glad I had the chance to learn abolut this prgram.

I learned today about the great presentation skills and IT stuff from Rene Daughtry! I think I will try to use these skills in my everyday life. I am also excited about learning more about agentsheets. I am proud of making my grass growing simulation. It is very neat and I can't wait to get started on my predator prey model. I also learned that order matters alot in agent sheet models. I would like to learn even more about it.

Today I got to try out netlogo. To me, net logo is much more fun and has much more logic to it than agent sheets. We made something like a reproduction model or something. It was pretty neat. Like writing code I guess. haha. I really think that I can make some really powerful stuff with net logo. I wanna get started on my assignment pretty soon to see what kind of stuff it can do.

On the first day of march today... We did some more net logo coding. I always thought it was funny how they used turtles, instead of units or people. Why can't they be ants or something? haha. Anyways This class was pretty fun. I got to work alot on my netlogo assignment. I think I got alot done today.

This week I am excited to learn more about presentations. I was critiqued on it and I learned a great deal about how to present. I will next time use better presentation skills. I am very proud of my presentation and thought that I learned alot. My presentation was so-so but I thought it was quite good for me. Brandon did a good job presenting as well, and I'm glad I had him as a group member. I just wish Jack could come and help pull some of his weight. The project was very had and I felt that it would have been easier if Jack helped.

I was excited to learn about excel. I never thought you could make such awesome things in such a seemingly simple program. It really inspired me, haha. In the future I hope to use excel for other things than charts and graphs. I can now use it for modeling! It's like vensim almost. I am proud of our models made in excel. It is the first thing I did of this sort.
