  • 7-27-14

  • Today I worked on the responsive website. It was hard because I wasn't there when a staff taught us how to do it. I've got the button work but did not finish it.

  • 7-26-14

  • Today I've been trying to work on perfecting on the drop down menu for my website. I tried making the drop down menu for the Shodor Resources. I also added a background image to the website instead of having just a background color. Then I made another link to my website that I am going to try to make the entrance page of my website, so whenever anybody visits my site they will go to a page where you would have to click an enter button.

  • 7-25-14

  • Today I started to change my website so that it could be compatible with other devices. It can detect whether a smartphone or table is in a certain position and changes the size of the text and pictures that are on the site. I also gave a command to change its colors.

  • Today we had no SQL lessons with Joel. I spent the entire morning documenting and writing took a long time. I had very little programming time. I need to finnish my XML blog. Can't wait for block 3!

  • 7-19-14

  • Today I think we finished our SQL lessons with Joel. I also tried to translate my blog into XML. It's pretty challenging. Joel helped my link my dice table to the database but it was confusing for me. Tomorrow I will finnish my XML and keep work on the php projects.

  • Today was a good day, it took a lot of work but I think I finished my module. I moved my seat next to Francisco so we could work with each other on the more difficult Art Walk Module. Most of everyone else finished fashionista Phil yesterday and were reviewing their websites or starting on next weeks work. Phil was a big help in explaining how to fix the problems with the scents. The people wouldn't directly walk towards the source of the scent and at the beginning there was no way for anyone to get happy.

  • 7-17-14

  • Today was a long and difficult day. I didn't finish my PHP yesterday so first I polished it up and sent it to Phil. I didn't have a ODAA job so I talked to Eric and started to observe and document the morning workshop. The students never said more than ten words so it was kinda boring but its work. I didn't receive my PHP till half an hour after lunch and I had a late start on the more difficult model, the Art Walk. I made the basics of the model, mainly the world, art, and the people. I decided to use scent as the key component to drawing the people towards and away from objects but I doesn't seem to work that well. More work is needed tomorrow.

  • Today's lesson was really brief on joining tables in MYSQL. It was fairly basic, using PHP. I spent the rest of the day cleaning up my PHP projects. Today has probably been the least eventful of the summer but I'm looking forward to getting new projects. Also I was really tired in the afternoon. I think staying in shodor for 8hours is too much.

  • 7-15-14

  • In the morning I was tired so I slept little bit. We had another lesson on MYSQL. Joel taught us on joining databases and other little stuff. However, most of the day I spent on finishing up my PHP projects, which I was able to do. Now, I have to just polish up the aesthetics for each one and they should be good to go. Improving the projects after nailing down basic features is pretty fun so I'm excited to get final drafts up on my portfolio. In the afternoon I also developed my website.

  • 7-14-14

  • Joel did a lesson today on databases for the first half of the day. We learned how to create and review databases made in the terminal and PHP. My current projects don't really necessitate this knowledge but it May be valuable for future projects. The second half of the day I worked on my XML Blog project and it's just about done. I got a lot done today and hopefully tomorrow I can finish my last PHP projects, the Dynamic Pages project and my RandomHexcode.

  • 7-11-14

  • Today was mainly a workday. I started to work on my dynamic pages project. I am not sure what content I want it to display yet. I also worked on adding the background color changer to my website.
