Earlier today, we were taught some new engineering concepts and learned about tension, compression, and other factors that go into making bridges. These factors must be at a near balance for our complex and great structures that we have in our world. It is amazing once you realize how much math and complex thought that go into today’s mega structures. We utilized these to create a virtual bridge using an applet that distributed weight efficiently. In the afternoon, Amaal taught us about recursive functions in JavaScript and we completed a mini project that allowed us to use recursive functions. However I feel that I feel like the concepts were very complicated and the concept did not stick in my head very much. I think that I need to learn some less advanced concepts to build my understanding of JavaScript overall.
