Welcome to "Air Quality Modeling for Teachers", a presentation prepared for the National Computational Science Leadership Program! This page contains the pre-conference materials for viewing online or downloading. Teachers are requested to spend approximately one hour reviewing these materials in preparation for the online chat session scheduled for January 30 from 11 to 12 am EST (for teachers in eastern United States and Germany) and from 1 to 2 pm EST for teachers in the western part of the United States, including Alaska. You can view these materials several ways:
- Online via your Web browswer.
- Downloadable as a PowerPoint file. Once you have downloaded the file, open it with Microsoft PowerPoint, and view the presentation in Notes format. There is some "animation" in the presentation (an advantage to downloading the file as a PowerPoint file!), so you may wish to consider printing the presentation as Notes format, then viewing the presentation in SlideShow format. To advance the slide, simply click on the current slide.
- Downloadable as an Adobe Acrobat Reader file (Portable Document Format, or pdf). This is a good file to download for printing purposes, although it will be in black-and-white.
We strongly encourage you to spend sufficient time with the presentation, in whatever format, so that we might have a good discussion on January 30th about the science behind the model, the model itself, and its integration into your educational programs!
