How Solar Cells work
Look at the picture and see the silicon atom and light ray. When the light ray hits on the silicon atom and the silicon atom lost one of the electrons another silicon atom give the electrons to silicon atom with one space left. Then the electrons goes to + silicon atom from - and there is no space left for one electrons. Then they goes through the wire then wire lead the electrons to the motor. When the electrons goes through the motor, the motor started to work and the electrons go thourgh the other wire to back solar cell and go fill the one silicon atom that had one electrons space left again. As long as you keep sun on silicon the electrons keep moving and you have electric current.
