Glossary of Terms

Excrement: Feces or waste.
Phytoplankton: Tiny plants that YOU can't see, except under a microscope.
Zooplankton: Tiny animals that live underwater, same goes for Phytoplankton.
Detritus: Decayed bones and both dead phytoplankton and zooplankton.
Sediment: Mud.
Littoral: The region lying along the shore.
