Academically gifted students from Northeastern counties will be chosen for this program. The main focus of this program is to develop students' math and science skills by doing environmentally-based projects. All of the students will be working in small groups, which will first attend a lecture-laboratory for six days. There they will learn the skills used in laboratory research projects. Then they will visit the Smithsonian, Merchant's MIll Pond, and local sites of industry. The last seven days will be spent on their projects, doing intense laboratory research. The results will be written and presented to friends, faculty, and parents.
