Project Title | HPC in Modeling Biological Networks |
Summary | The intern, Whitney Sanders, will develop HPC programs and associate documentation, such as tutorials, to accompany computational science modules ("Markov Chains" and "Food Webs") involving modeling biological networks that are currently in development. In particular, he will develop MPI/C programs (and possibly GridMathematica or Parallel MATLAB programs) and documentation involving matrices to accompany modules that we are writing. |
Job Description | Participate in the two-week Illinois workshop Develop MPI/C programs to accompany "Markov Chains" Document work Develop GridMathematica or Parallel MATLAB programs to accompany "Markov Chains" Document work Develop MPI/C programs to accompany "Food Webs" Document work Develop GridMathematica or Parallel MATLAB programs to accompany "Food Webs" Document work As time permits, write additional HPC programs for other computational science modules If funding and time permit, attend SC11 Write a final report/paper of the internship project for submission to the Journal of Computational Science Education (JOCSE) |
