Project TitleImplementing HPC Bioinformatics Algorithms II
SummaryIn 2015-2016, Blue Waters Intern Daniel Couch wrote sequential and HPC programs and performed timings to accompany an educational module on “Aligning SequencesSequentially and Concurrently,” available at http://www.wofford.edu/ecs/. An abstract on the module and programs has been submitted for presentation at the International Conference on Computational Science. Moreover, by the end of the school year, the team anticipates completing another project involving a HPC implementation of the Gene Ontology (GO) Algorithm.
