Project Title | Curriculum developer |
Summary | This intern will work under the guidance of the mentor to take a working curriculum module (Scaling in nature and in the machine) and update it to make it more useful to the Blue Waters hardware. While the original module was set to be applicable to Blue Waters and other hardware, it was developed before Blue Waters was accessible. Therefore, the module should be updated to compile and run on Blue Waters and the activities should be updated so that there is performance information relevant to Blue Waters. |
Job Description | The intern will update the working curriculum module (Scaling in nature and in the machine) and update it to make it more useful to the Blue Waters hardware. This will involve learning how to run the module on Blue Waters, doing performance testing on Blue Waters, and rewriting the directions for faculty and student use to incorporate the new information that is specific to Blue Waters. If time permits, the intern will port additional modules that have been validated to the Blue Waters system and conduct performance testing, and revise the documentation. |
