Maryland Virtual High School
Maryland Virtual High School is a creation of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD. Montgomery Blair maintains a server on the internet dedicated to modeling and computational science. Known as Maryland Virtual High School, this server is designed to foster collaboration among Maryland teachers in sharing, using, and developing computational science investigations. Rather than creating a distinct computational science curriculum, MVHS introduces computational science into the traditional mathematics and science curriculum by enabling teachers and students to use the tools of computational science to solve problems which are curriculum based, but which reflect real world complexity.

The Shodor Education Foundation, Inc. has been working as a consultant for Maryland Virtual High School to help assess the needs of the program and make suggestions as to how to meet these needs. In addition, the Foundation works to develop and assist in implementation of collaborative computational science investigations.
