Purpose:The trip calculator compares the relative distance two cars have driven as they travel to the same destination. One car moves at constant velocity, the other takes occasional breaks.

Restrictions on Use: None

General Information:

1. Use slider bars to change the trip length, the ideal velocity, the frequency that the second driver takes breaks, and the length of the breaks.
2. This problem does use a numerical solution. Additional controls at the lower right of the applet allow you to modify the solution method.
