SC07 Education Program in Reno in November
and Summer 2007 Workshops

Registration is now CLOSED for Summer 2007 Workshops and the SC07 Education Program. The workshops are funded by a number of sources including the SC07 Education Program, NSF, National Computational Science Institute, Mathematical Association of Amercia, The Ralph Regula School of Computational Science at OSC, TeraGrid, and other sources. We thank these organizations for their support and encourage you to also express your appreciation.

SC07 Education Program in November in Reno:

Registration for the SC07 Education Program is now closed. The selection committee is reviewing all of the applications and decisions on acceptance will be announced by August 27, 2007.

The SC07 Education Program will occur November 10-13, 2007 in Reno, Nevada. Participants will be engaged in hands-on activities to engage them in applying computational science, grid computing and high performance computing resources in education.

Housing, travel and meal costs are provided for participants. Participants are asked to pay a registration fee of $75 to cover food and materials. This fee will be refunded if notification of cancellations is received by October 1, 2007. Scholarships are available for people unable to cover the registration fee.

Education Program participants are encouraged to stay for the full SC07 conference to benefit from all that the conference has to offer. Participants will need to cover their own housing and meals after November 13 through the remainder of the conference.


Summer Workshop Information:

The Summer Worshops are all completed and closed.

The summer workshop participants are asked to pay a registration fee of $150 to cover workshop food and materials. This fee will be refunded only if notification of cancellation is received on or before the stated cancellation date.

In the event a workshop is not conducted, or if you are not accepted due to over-enrollment, the registration fee will be refunded in full. Scholarships are available for people unable to cover the registration fee.

Housing costs are provided for participants that are not able to commute to the workshop on a daily basis. Meals and materials are provided to participants. Participants are responsible for all of their own travel expenses. Participants may be asked to pay some of the costs that are covered, for which they will be re-imbursed. The details of any expected on-site re-imbursable costs will be provided to participants in advance.
