Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Pictures
Mentor Center

We started off day three by discussing the responsibilities associated with assisting SUCCEED workshops. Everyone, we were told, will be asked to help in some way, either by documenting, teaching, or supervising students during break times. Finally we had our second to last team building activity called 'Skit in a Bag.' We were divided up into groups of five to six then handed a bag. The bags contained random objects collected by staff members, which we had to use in a skit. We were given thirty minutes to meet with our groups to find a way to incorporate the objects we had been given. When time was up we presented our skits to the other interns and staff. Several groups chose to parody staff members and Shodor itself. They were all very funny and quite creative.

The last item of the day was the Intern Enrichment Fund, the money we get to use to have fun during the summer. Michael Thuente, Susan Edwards, and Allyson West, the intern counselors came up with a list of activities for us to vote on. Some of the activities on the list were a trip to Kings Dominion, Emerald Point, paint ball, and laser tag. We voted on the activities we wanted we went off to work with our mentors.
