Day One / Day Two / Pictures / Reflections

Mentor Center

The second day of Orientation was mainly about building team skills. John took us outside into the back parking lot. We first played a game with a 3'x3' wood board resting on some bricks. First we made predictions about how many people we think can fit on the board at one time. Some guesses were 19, 20, and 21.After two times, the average came up to be around 20 people.

Next we played another team-building game using blocks. One part of the team goes to the other side of the property with a finished shape while the other part goes to the other side with some blocks to build with. Everybody only have 5 chances to try and remake the shape on the other side. This sounded easy until we actually had to do it.

After the games we went back inside to listen to Joyce to talk about Shodor's rules. She went over the details we needed in order to have a good time here at Shodor. The last thing we did was have a ice cram sundae party.
