The Water Cycle

The amount of water on earth has not changed very much since the earth began. Water is in the ocean and on land as a liquid, evaporates and becomes a gas. IT then cools and condenses, and comes back to earth as either rain or snow.

You can simulate the water cycle.
  1. Take a clear plastic bag and putseveral ounces of water into it.
  2. Close off the top of the bag (use a rubber band if you need to).
  3. Set the bag by a window, where the sunlight can strike it. Let it sit in the window for some time (about an hour) and then check it.
  4. Write down your observations.
