Students learn about the difference between univariate and bivariate data and understand how to choose the best graph to display the data.
This worksheet is for use with the Two Colors Applet activity (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/TwoColors/).
This worksheet is for use with the activity Overlapping Gaussians (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/OverlappingGaussians/).
This worksheet is for use with the Regression activity (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/Regression/).
Box Plot (Activity)
Students can create box plots for either built-in or user-specified data as well as experiment with outliers. User may choose to use or not use the median for calculation of interquartile range.
This worksheet is for use with the Histogram activity (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/Histogram/).
This worksheet is for use with the activity Advanced Fire (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/AdvancedFire/).
This worksheet is for use with the Ordered Simple Plot activity (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/OrderedSimplePlot/).
Normal Distribution (Activity)
Change the standard deviation of an automatically generated normal distribution to create a new histogram. Observe how well the histogram fits the curve, and how areas under the curve correspond to the number of trials. Parameters: standard deviation, number of trials, class intervals.
This worksheet is for use with the Scatter Plot activity (http://www.shodor.org/interactivate/activities/ScatterPlot/).
